Economic empowerment is one of the durable interventions while addressing social problems. It encompasses the aspects of increased literacy, business knowledge and economic independence. With the institutionalization of micro financing to women, Woman’s Hope continues to build their capacities on entrepreneurial skills and access to finance facilities through trainings.
An onsite business model in the organization serves as an apprentice/ attachment for all the enrolled women to learn while producing items for sale. The culture of capital growth through reinvestment of profits aided by good book keeping skills is in this approach.
Woman’s hope has created links with micro finance institutions to extend loans for business to women who have under gone training program in micro finance. This helps women to move from the cycle of abuse and economic dependency to multifaceted empowerment which is not limited to social, political and economic.
The end products of women’s hope intervention to abused women and girls are “champions of hope”. These are women and girls who become ambassadors of hope and able to rally other women to stand against abuse
